Ghanata Senior High School

A blood donation exercise was organized for students of Ghanata Senior High School in Dodowa on Thursday, 7th March, 2013. The exercise, which yielded a total of one hundred and fifty eight (158) units of blood was massively sponsored by the FOCOS Hospital as part of its social responsibility of encouraging safe blood donation among the youth.

FOCOS (The Foundation of Orthopedics and Complex Spine) is a non-profit organization founded in 1998 by Dr. Oheneba Boachie-Adjei. The mission of FOCOS is to provide comprehensive, affordable orthopedic and spine care to underserved communities in Ghana and throughout West Africa.

The National Blood Service is  grateful to the 158 students who donated blood freely to save the lives of others without expecting anything in return and the entire student body for making this exercise a success.
