West African Gas Pipeline company Limited (WAPCo), has presented 14 computers and accessory, worth twenty five thousand, one hundred and forty five Ghana cedis (Ghc. 25, 145.00) to the National Blood Service, Ghana in support of a project to improve Blood Donor information management system, being implemented by the Blood Service.
The computers are made-up of ten (10) Toshiba brand new laptops and four (4) Hp desktops.
General Manager in charge of Corporate Affairs at WAPCo Mrs. Wereko-Brobby and her team presented the items to management of NBSG at a short ceremony on Friday, April 24, 2015. According to Mrs. Wereko-Brobby, such donations form part t of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility programmes.

Dr. Justina Kordai Ansah, Director of NBSG received the items and thanked WAPCo for the support. Dr. Ansah promised that the items would be used for its intended purpose.
The Donor Information Management system project, when fully operational, will manage information from Donor registration centre, to screening of blood to the point of issuing blood to the end user at all well managed blood banks in the country.DSC06245
